For fans of Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden in Windward Oahu — and there are very many, evidently — here’s a chance to weigh in on which day of the week will be designated as “no visitors” at the park. Because of annually rising record attendance — fiscal year 2025 saw 723,495 visits — the garden will be closed one day each week, starting next year. That will give Ho‘omaluhia a rest from humans, and allow staff to do maintenance work.
