We’ve seen a couple of isolated showers this morning in east Alabama; otherwise, a quiet start for many.
THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Temperatures are in the 60s and will warm this afternoon into the lower 90s. A few isolated showers and storms are expected to develop during the afternoon, but most will remain dry.
THE NEXT BIG THING: Drought conditions will continue to get worse over the next couple of weeks as there is no big pattern change. We need good, soaking rain to help the dry and crispy conditions.
The last time Birmingham saw measurable rain was Sept 1st, where .19″ was collected. It is important to avoid burning of any kind.
