BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: As an upper-level trough swings across the state, one cluster of storms developed and is in progress through west Alabama. Everyone else is dry and starting Friday under a mostly fair sky. Temperatures are in the 60s and will warm into the low 90s this afternoon with a good mix of sun and clouds. SIDELINE games will be great tonight!
THE NEXT BIG THING: The weekend will remain dry, and temperatures will be above seasonal averages in the lower 90s. Heading into next week, temperatures are expected to continue running above average, remaining in the low 90s.
The risk for rain continues to remain very limited for the next 7 days. Drought conditions are continuing to expand and get worse, especially in western Alabama.
