A segment of the G Line between Denver Union Station and Wheat Ridge will be closed to train travel for four hours Wednesday as the Regional Transportation District conducts a joint emergency preparedness drill alongside local law enforcement agencies.

The drill will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. between the Olde Town Arvada and Pecos Junction stations.

The last eastbound train will depart Wheat Ridge-Ward Road Station at 9:21 a.m., while the last westbound train will depart Union Station at 9:31 a.m. Bus shuttles will provide service between the impacted stations throughout the drill.

Residents and businesses in the area of the impacted stations may see a noticeable presence of emergency vehicles and first responders during the exercise. The drill is part of RTD’s regular emergency prepare
