Two Oklahoma City police officers were injured Tuesday night after a traffic stop turned into a short pursuit that ended in a crash near Interstate 240 and Santa Fe Avenue, according to police.

OCPD said the incident began during a traffic stop at Southwest 44th Street and Walker Avenue. Officers said they located drugs in the suspect’s vehicle and asked the driver to step out. Police say the suspect then fled the scene in the car.

Police said the pursuit lasted only a few minutes before officers used a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver near I-240 and Santa Fe to stop the car.
