A search is underway for a suspect who crashed a car into the gates of an FBI office in what the bureau has called "an act of terror".
An official said a man driving "at a high rate of speed" crashed his vehicle into the entrance of the building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania , at around 2.30am local time on Wednesday (7.30am UK time).
He then retrieved an American flag from the backseat, which he placed on the gates before taking off on foot, FBI Pittsburgh's assistant special agent in charge Christopher Giordano said.
The FBI has identified the suspect as Donald Henson, who is believed to be a former member of the military.
