When Halloween and Christmas compete for space on the shelves of Hobby Lobby, you know that fall is the air and it’s time for football. Some of my best evenings in life were spent on the benches of the Tunstall High School football field watching my sons play football and my daughters cheer. I miss those fall evenings.
But there is football everywhere else, so how can I be sad? We seem to have a magic TV that automatically turns to either a football game or a baseball game every time I leave the living room. It’s amazing. I can just run to get a napkin or grab my phone I’ve left somewhere and, boom, my departure into the next room causes the TV to find “the game.”
