Police are treating two shootings just streets apart in north Manchester as linked, they have confirmed.
Officers were called to Ainthorpe Walk in Newton Heath at 9.55pm last night to a 'suspected firearms discharge.'
A man suffered 'minor injuries' to his head. Exactly what caused the injuries is being investigated, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

Locals said the property was home to a couple and their young son.
