The Lane7 Group has acquired Platform, the Glasgow events space formerly known as The Arches.
Headquartered in the north east of England, the business has 20 Lane7 bowling sites across the UK and Europe, including venues in Aberdeen and Edinburgh. It also owns two LevelX sites, including one in Glasgow’s St Enoch Centre, that cater for ‘next gen’ gaming attractions.
Both Lane7 and Platform insist it’s ‘business as usual’ for the 35,000 sq ft space in six interconnected railways arches underneath Central Station. The new owners have stated that all booked events this year will go ahead as planned.
Lane7 managing director Gavin Hughes said: “You’d be hard-pushed to find anyone in Glasgow and the surrounding areas who hasn’t attended an event at Platform or at its predecessor as The Arches
