MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — As the Triangle airport continues to grow, a new airline has been added with a new nonstop destination.
Raleigh-Durham International Airport announced Wednesday that Aer Lingus will be utilizing the airport, and its first flight is bound for Dublin.
This will be the first time that RDU houses Aer Lingus. The Ireland-based airline operates over 100 routes between Europe and North America.
On social media, RDU officials said flights will begin in April 13, 2026, with flights going to and from Dublin five times a week.
This marks RDU's 81st nonstop destination, the most the airport has ever had. The airport's growth has caught the attention of J.D. Power, which ranked fifth in the country amongst large-sized airports for passenger satisfaction.
