Dade Co. government reminding people to properly plan for public gatherings at certain locations

Dade County officials are putting out a reminder to plan accordingly if you’re wanting to have a public gathering in certain locations.

Officials say that public gatherings at the following locations must be coordinated through the Alliance for Dade :

Historic Courthouse

Veteran’s Park

Gazebo on the square

You can make reservations for those locations by calling 706-657-4488.

If your event could affect traffic, you should call the Dade County Sheriff's Office at 706-657-3233 to coordinate safety support.

"These steps are important to help avoid overlapping use of public spaces and to ensure gatherings can be held safely,” county officials said on Facebook .
