One person is dead after a deadly hit-and-run incident in Madisonville, Tennessee Tuesday night, police say.

Around 11:30pm, a car struck a pedestrian on Oak Grove Road near Lincoln Drive. That person, who police have not publicly identified, later died from their injuries.

At this time, the Madisonville Police Department say there is no information regarding the type of vehicle involved.

The crash is under investigation.
