The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says 15 people were arrested on drug-related charges during the month of August.

In addition to DeKalb County deputies, officers from Rainsville, Geraldine, Mentone, Crossville, Ider, and Sylvania police departments helped with the following arrests:

Friday, August 1:

Ider police pulled over 32-year-old Tommy Lee Bonner, of Fort Payen, for a suspected DUI at Hwy 75 and Hwy 40. Officers observed marijuana in the vehicle. During a search, officers also found Xanax pills. Narcotics Agents were called and responded. Bonner was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
