A 43-year-old man faces a handful of charges in connection with a stabbing last month in Kitchener.

Police said on Aug. 15, at approximately 6:45 a.m., a man was in the area of College and Duke streets when he was stabbed. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the area.

The accused was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of probation order.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Police said members of the public provided information that assisted in the investigation.
