A 17-year-old faces more than 50 charges after he was one of two people arrested in Kitchener as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police arrested the youth, and a 22-year-old man from the GTA on Tuesday. The teen was also wanted on warrants with Toronto Police Service (TPS), Peel Regional Police Service, Thunder Bay Police Service, and the Ontario Provincial Police on more than 40 charges.

Those charges included eight counts of robbery, five counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and theft of motor vehicle involving violence.

The man was also wanted on a warrant from TPS for several offences, including fail to comply with release order, obstruct peace officer, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
