WOONSOCKET – You couldn’t have asked for a better night to break in a new athletic facility.

Temperatures in the low 70s. Nearly two thousand fans, most of them decked in maroon and white, sitting in the bleachers and standing around the field.

Yes, the Dionne Track & Field was a incredible sight to behold last Friday night, but so were the Novans. Scoring multiple touchdowns in each of the first two quarters and pitching a shutout on defense until their second stringers allowed a TD on the final play of the third quarter, the Novans capped their historic night by drubbing Pilgrim High, 39-6.
