BELLE, W.Va. — Mayor David Fletcher says he’s sent a termination letter to Police Chief Robert Glenn.
“I actually sent him a termination letter this past month,” Fletcher said at Tuesday night’s Belle Town Council meeting.
Fletcher said Glenn has asked for a civil service hearing.
“The hearing will be held on September 29th at 10 o’clock,” Fletcher said.
Glenn has been been on administrative leave for several months as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, details of which haven’t been released.
Fletcher said the investigation and review are ongoing.
“It has to go through the court system, it hasn’t made it through there yet. It hasn’t been indicted by the grand jury. You have to be indicted by the grand jury,” Fletcher said.
