RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. —

The University of South Carolina football coach who was injured in a crash last month has been released from the hospital.

Travian Robertson, defensive line coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks football team, was injured on Aug. 22 in a crash in Richland County.

The attorneys representing him say he was hit head-on by a suspected DUI driver who crossed the center line.

Robertson sustained severe and life-changing injuries so far requiring a total of five surgeries for internal and external damage.
