MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. —

A North Carolina couple is accused of abusing an infant.

The McDowell County Sheriff's Office said on Aug. 29 they did a welfare check at a home in Marion for possible child neglect involving an infant.

After the complaint, deputies charged Dominic Edward Gregory, 33, and Chelsea McMahan, 31, with felony negligent child abuse involving serious physical injury.

Both received bonds of $100,000 each.
