MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A criminal complaint filed Tuesday alleges a Madison woman left her seven Great Danes in a hot van for more than five hours over the weekend.
Judith Wiesner, 68, is charged with five counts of animal mistreatment causing death and two counts of intentionally mistreating animals.
The criminal complaint cites data from the National Weather Service, which indicated the temperature just before 3:55 p.m. on Sept. 13 for Madison was 80.1 degrees.
The complaint recounts the suspect telling officers she lived in the van with her seven Great Danes, which included one adult dog and her six puppies.
