Catfish fillet products are being recalled due to concerns they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Quality Poultry & Seafood, Inc., of Biloxi, Mississippi, is recalling about 98,916 pounds of frozen fillets that were produced between Sept. 2, 2024, and Sept. 5.

The products were shipped to restaurants and retail locations in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, as well as sold from Quality Poultry & Seafood, Inc.’s own retail store.

The recalled items include various translucent plastic bag packages and cardboard boxes labeled “Varied Catfish Miscut Fillets” and “Irregular Catfish Random Fillet,” all marked as farm-raised catfish products of the United States. These items may bea
