YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- The Pennsylvania State Police are handling service calls in the area typically covered by Northern York County Regional Police in the wake of Wednesday's fatal shooting.
State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris made the announcement during a Wednesday evening press briefing at WellSpan York Hospital, saying three officers were dead and two were injured.
Col. Paris did not disclose which department the officers served for, but acknowledged State Police would cover for Northern York County Regional Police.
Northern York Regional covers several municipalities in northern York County, including North Codorus Township, Conewago Township, Dover Township, Franklin Township, Heidelberg Township, Jackson Township, Manchester Township, Paradise Township, Dover B
