In a statement from the City of McAllen, city officials have been made aware of scam text messages or phone calls from a company claiming to be Clear Insights to take a survey about the city.

The city wants to remind the public that these phone calls and messages are not from the City of McAllen or its officials.

According to city officials, the phone and messages are being conducted by an independent polling firm.

The city advises the public to stay aware and contact local law enforcement if they receive suspicious calls or messages.
