LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A new initiative led by Greater Louisville Incorporated and the Kentucky Chamber Foundation is helping to build Kentucky's workforce while supporting its growing immigrant population.
The collaborative effort was highlighted at a hiring event in Louisville, aimed at connecting refugees and immigrants with job opportunities.
Ezekiel Mukaz, a community ambassador for See Forward Ministries, moved to the United States from the Congo in 2004.
“I had some—a couple of jobs turn me down because I couldn’t communicate well," Mukaz said. "So it’s pretty challenging.”
Mukaz now works as a machine operator in Louisville and is dedicated to helping others navigate the job market, from language barriers to learning how to write a resume and interview for jobs
