TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A legal battle over a dog came to a head this summer when a Leon County deputy seized the dog and loaded it into his patrol car.

The deputy was following judge’s orders after the dog’s original owner sued the family who found it running in traffic.

The Tallahassee case is raising a lot of questions about what happened and Florida law.

Joshua and Danica Bentley call Mo a once-in-a-lifetime dog, an Australian shepherd with plenty of energy and kisses to spare.

This surprise addition to their family was found last fall in the middle of Natural Bridge Road.

WCTV videotaped the Bentleys playing fetch with the dog at their home July 15th at 1:15 in the afternoon.
