PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers guard Max Scharping was limited at practice on Wednesday with a knee injury. Scharping has served as a depth piece at guard and center, and it is unclear when he suffered the injury.

Scharping has not played in any games just yet, so the injury occurred in practice. Given he was limited, it could have occurred during Wednesday’s session or Scharping is fine and just taking precautions with the issue.

The Steelers have ten offensive linemen rostered, and Scharping is one of their gameday inactives, so if he can not play, it will not shuffle the deck on the depth chart.

Scharping joined the Steelers in October of 2024 after injuries racking up along the offensive line. The big appeal for his depth status is that he can play anywhere for the Steeler
