Americans eat roughly 50 billion burgers a year — that’s about three per person each week.

To celebrate the delicious dish that may or may not be considered a sandwich, Sept. 18 is National Cheeseburger Day, and restaurants all over the area are treating customers to some sweet deals.

Bohemian Bull will celebrate with $5 cheeseburgers all day for dine-in customers at its Folly Road and Mount Pleasant locations.

“On Thursday, September 18th, we’re serving up our famous ground-in-house cheeseburger (American cheese, lettuce, tomato) for just $5 to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day,” the restaurant posted on social media.

Buffalo Wild Wings , which opened a new spot in Mount Pleasant in July, has a buy one burger, get a second of equal or lesser value for free.
