GREENVILLE — Legendary South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw was hospitalized on Sept. 17 after a sudden health scare.

Several sources close to the situation confirmed to The Post and Courier that Shaw’s condition is stable, and he’s awake and coherent in a Greenville hospital. He is off a ventilator, and doctors are currently running tests.

Shaw collapsed Sept. 17 on the field while coaching his son’s football game. Other attendees and participants at the game immediately came to his aid until an ambulance arrived. Shaw was conscious when emergency personnel reached him.

Shaw’s 34th birthday is tomorrow.
