OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - There is another candidate looking to be elected to serve in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District.
James Leuschen , a Democrat, released plans for his campaign in a release to First Alert 6 on Thursday morning. Leuschen says he is an Omaha native and an expert in economic policy.
According to the release, the candidate served as a Policy Director on Capitol Hill under former House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer . He also assisted in getting a new Veteran’s Affairs medical facility in Omaha.
Leuschen says if elected, he will hold President Donald Trump accountable and “fight to lower the rising costs that are squeezing Nebraska families.”
He talked more about his run in a video posted to social media early Thursday.
