Legendary South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw is reportedly in hospital after collapsing during a football game in which he was coaching.

Shaw, who joined the Cleveland Browns after a standout career with the Gamecocks, was coaching his nine-year-old son’s team when he passed out. He was taken to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

The cause of the scare is unknown, with the Daily Mail reporting that there were no further developments as of Thursday morning, noting that the former QB was still receiving medical treatment.

“It is currently unclear what caused the 33-year-old’s collapse. As of Thursday morning, there has been no update on his status as he continues to receive medical treatment,” the Mail reported.
