ELLISVILLE — The South Central Health Care Foundation will host its first Hope Hustle 5K and Fun Run on Saturday to raise money for renovations to the Maternal Child and Pediatric Unit at South Central Regional Medical Center.

The race will follow a scenic route through downtown Ellisville and the campus of Jones College.

The welcome program begins at 6:45 a.m., with the 5K starting at 7 a.m. and the Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. Events will begin at the Sports & Fitness Center at the Ell, 202 W. Pine St.

Proceeds will support improvements to the Laurel-based hospital’s facilities for mothers and children.
