COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A trial date has been set in the case of Renee Eldridge, who was killed in 2015 after being abducted from her Columbus home.

Judge Carolyn “Tippi” Burch scheduled the trial of accused killer Stacey Gray to begin Nov. 17, 2025, according to District Attorney Don Kelly.

Eldridge, 25, was reported missing on July 4, 2015. Her body was found three days later in Valley, Alabama. Investigators said she died from blunt force trauma.

Gray, a family acquaintance, was arrested in Notasulga, Alabama after a manhunt. He faces charges in Muscogee County including rape, kidnapping, false imprisonment and aggravated assault.

Charges against Gray in Chambers County, Alabama, were dismissed in 2021 after a judge ruled DNA evidence inadmissible. He was later extradited to Ge
