JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man was sentenced to life in prison Thursday, Sept. 18 for the fatal stabbing of a woman at a Kenner Raising Canes.
According to the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office, 32-year-old Joshua Every pled guilty to first-degree murder. Every and others attempted to rob a Raising Canes in the 3300 block of Williams Boulevard June 29, 2016. As employees were throwing out garbage during closing time, Every and another man entered the rear of the business.
At the rear entrance, and without provocation, Every stabbed Taylor Friloux and then forced her at knifepoint to the manager's office. After forcing her to give him $1,000 she collapsed onto the floor, at which time he stabbed her multiple times. Friloux died hours later at the hospital.
