Two Kinston brothers arrested for separate murders just days apart

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - Kinston police have arrested two brothers just days apart for two unrelated murders.

Police say they nabbed Jataves Ellison, 20, today for the September 6th murder of Dishon Blount. It happened on the 500 block of East Bright Street.

Just this past Tuesday , the man’s brother, 22-year-old Prince Ellison, was arrested for the murder of Daryl Dudley at Richard Green Apartments last month. Police say the two murders are not related.

Jataves Ellison was arrested at a Railfence Drive home today.

In addition to murder, the younger brother is charged with malicious assault in secret, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and discharging a firearm in the city.

Ellison was jail today without bond.
