TEXARKANA, Ark. (KSLA) - Free services were provided on Thursday, Sept. 18, downtown as part of the Texarkana Homeless Coalition’s Annual Resource Day.
The goal of the event was to help individuals experiencing or are at-risk of being homeless find, enroll in and receive services that would otherwise take months to secure.
“ We pretty much try to bring all different service organizations together to provide services not only to people that are homeless, but people at risk of being homeless,” said Vashil Fernandez, chairman of the Texarkana Homeless Coalition.
The organization works with over 60 agencies to provide assistance.
