ORCHARD PARK - Nothing that has happened in the past between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins has any bearing on the Sept. 18 AFC East battle at Highmark Stadium.

At least that’s what both sides were saying the past couple days leading up to the Week 3 Amazon Prime national broadcast , trying their best to ignore the one-sided nature of the rivalry that has seen Buffalo win 15 of the 17 games since Sean McDermott became coach in 2017.

“It's just how it plays out,” Bills quarterback Josh Allen said of his personal 13-2 record and otherworldly numbers he has produced in games against Miami since he entered the NFL in 2018. “None of that matters, though. I mean it doesn't have any bearing to what this week will bring.”
