ST. LOUIS - Construction crews broke ground Thursday on a 30-story luxury residential tower called "Albion West End" in St. Louis' Central West End neighborhood.

The new high-rise development, located near Forest Park in the 4900 block of Lindell Boulevard, will feature 305 upscale apartments, along with ground-floor retail space.

The Albion West End is strategically positioned near the historic Chase Park Plaza. Developers say it's an opportunity to blend modern design with the neighborhood's historic character.
