Gov. Mike Kehoe is set to honor a dozen first responders from mid-Missouri among 38 people receiving the state's highest public safety honors.

The governor, along with Missouri Department of Public Safety Director Mark James, will present Missouri's public safety medals in a ceremony next week.

The ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Training Academy Gymnasium in Jefferson City, located at 1510 East Elm Street.
