After a week on the picket line, striking college support workers finally had face time with the Ontario minister in charge of post-secondary education.

At an announcement concerning funding for the St. Lawrence River Institute, the Minister for Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security — and MPP for Stormont—Dundas—South Glengarry — Nolan Quinn was bombarded as members of the Ontario Public Service Employee Union (OPSEU) bargaining team and local support staff confronted the minister.
