BOISE, Idaho — A national organization representing education programs for migrant farmworkers has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education to force the release of $52 million in congressional funding that remains frozen.

The National HEP-CAMP Association, which stands for High School Equivalency Program and College Assistance Migrant Program, filed a legal challenge in August after the department withheld funds from programs intended to help students from migrant farmworker families access higher education.
