FRISCO, Texas — Frisco police shot and killed a 31-year-old man Thursday morning after he allegedly charged at officers with a knife, authorities said.
Officers responded about 9:50 a.m. to a welfare call in the 8000 block of McKinney Road, the Frisco Police Department said in a news release. The caller reported that the man was armed with a knife and had already harmed himself, police said.
Frisco PD said officers found the man, identified as Logan Holliday, of Frisco, in a wooded area on the north side of Frisco Commons Park. Police claim Holliday moved toward officers while holding the knife, ignoring verbal commands.
According to police, officers used a non-lethal force option, but it was ineffective. FPD said the officers then shot the man.
