It’s looking like another stretch of summer-like heat for our region. We've been keeping an eye on this pattern, and it appears temperatures nearing 90 degrees will continue right through the weekend.

This is certainly warmer than what we typically expect for this time of year. We're also keeping a close watch on the daily chances for rain. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to pop up regularly, beginning as early as tomorrow and continuing into the weekend.

While these are expected to be hit-or-miss for most, they could bring localized downpours. Looking ahead into next week, we'll see a return to more seasonable temperatures, settling into the low to mid 80s.
