PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- A traffic crash resulted in the death of a 60-year-old man from Paducah on Thursday.
The Paducah Police Department said the crash took place at the intersection of Coleman Road and Coleman Crossing Circle at 8:19 a.m. on September 18.
Paducah Police reported Erich Sternberg, 60, of Paducah, was driving a 2024 Trail Master moped when he disregarded a stop sign and collided with a trailer being pulled by a 2024 Ford F-250.
Despite the life-saving efforts by first responders, Sternberg was pronounced dead at the scene, according to McCracken County Coroner Amanda Melton.
The roadway remained closed for two and a half hours as Paducah Police detectives and the Collision Reconstruction Team conducted their investigation.
