Portsmouth police are asking for the public's help for locating a missing 21-year-old.

Police said Daekwon Sims was last seen at about 3:45 p.m. in the 3700 block of South Street on Thursday, Sept. 18. He is described as a Black man with black hair and brown eyes, standing at about 6'1" and weighing 140 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and black shoes, as well as carrying a black backpack.

Police said Sims may be suffering from a "behavioral health issue."
