WASHINGTON – Washington has reclaimed its position as the second most expensive state to buy a gallon of gas, according to a recent report from Triple-A.

The report highlighted that Washington is now just behind California, with an average price per gallon of roughly $4.64. This is nearly $1.50 above the national average.

The report also noted that while the average gas prices across the state have declined slightly from yesterday’s total, they have increased by 24 cents per gallon since last month.

Asotin County offers the cheapest prices in the state. It is followed closely by Ferry, Spokane, Lincoln and Franklin counties.
