The Hoodoo Mural Festival, a blend of live music and street art that has energized Amarillo’s creative scene since 2019, will return Saturday, Sept. 27 with a new twist: a relocation to the Arts in the Sunset venue for the first time.
The all-ages event, previously staged in downtown Amarillo, moves to the outdoor-friendly Arts in the Sunset at 3701 Plains Blvd. from 3 to 11 p.m. The change allows for expanded programming while maintaining the festival’s signature mix of performances and live mural painting.
Founded by Andrew Hall under the Hoodoo Art Foundation — a nonprofit promoting public art education and community revitalization — the festival has grown from a small block party into a major cultural anchor. Last year’s event drew about 3,000 attendees and marked the completion of 2
