Fire crews in Weare are battling a large three-alarm fire burning at a local recycling facility Friday morning.

Weare Fire Rescue said in a social media post they responded to a building fire at Granite State Recycling on B&B Lane at 6:45 a.m. Friday. Upon arrival, firefighters reported finding a fully involved commercial building.

Photos the fire department posted on Facebook show heavy flames and plumes of dense smoke rising from a large commercial building.

The fire later grew to a 3rd alarm and still remains an active scene at this time, officials said about 10:30 a.m.

Weare Fire Rescue is asking people to use caution traveling through the area as crews are expected to remain on scene for an extended period of time.
