The Westerville South Wildcats (3-1) travel to Sunbury to face the Big Walnut Golden Eagles (3-1) in the Ohio Capital Conference matchup of the week. Both teams enter the Friday night clash having won three in a row.

Big Walnut’s firepower was on full display last week in its dominant 45-7 win at Delaware Hayes, with junior running back Nolan Buirley, quarterback Eli Stumpf and Florida Atlantic commit Owen Pollock leading a 24-point second-quarter explosion.

The resilient Wildcats showed their mettle by erasing a 15-point halftime deficit against Dublin Scioto, with seniors Jhalil Armstrong (two rushing touchdowns) and Evan Andrews (one) powering the comeback.

Visiting Big Walnut edged Westerville South , 31-28, in the last head-to-head meeting in 2024.
