EAST PALESTINE An East Palestine man who pled guilty in July to nearly 20 child pornography charges has learned his fate on Friday.

Seventy-five-year-old Robert Rogers was sentenced to five years in prison on 17 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person with credit for 23 days served.

Once released, Rogers will spend five years on probation and must register as a Tier 2 sex offender.

Rogers was secretly indicted on these charges back in January of 2025. All 17 of those charges stem from an incident in June of 2024 when Rogers was found to be in possession of child pornography.
