SAN DIMAS, Calif. (KABC) -- Metro's A-Line Extension opens Friday with four new stations extending east with stops in Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne and Pomona. One stop is in the heart of San Dimas.

"Within the stop here, within about 50 to 100 yards, there are more than 17 eating establishments, and there are 30 to 40 retail establishments, including our historic downtown and the core of San Dimas for business," said Raymond Foster, the Chair of the Board of Directors with the San Dimas Chamber of Commerce, which has been busy working with Metro for a smooth transition.

"They're talking to us, we're talking to them because what we want to do, we want to maximize the benefit for our businesses, that's what my job is, and also minimize some of the challenges," he said.
